Shettima Briefed on Nigeria's UNGA Goals and Investments

Vice President Kashim Shettima received a comprehensive briefing regarding Nigeria's participation in the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States. The briefing was conducted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Amb.

Jimoh Ibrahim. They outlined Nigeria's key priorities and expectations from stakeholders and citizens for the global gathering.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, stated that during the UNGA, the Vice President would present President Tinubu’s message on various issues, including Nigeria's bid for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. Additionally, Governors Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Nasir Idris of Kebbi State expressed their intentions to seek global investments, particularly in solid minerals.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara also aimed to explore partnerships to attract investments, leveraging the state's oil and gas resources.
