Wadada Seeks Al-Makura's Support Amid Tension in Nasarawa

Aliyu Wadada, a governorship candidate, visited former Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al-Makura to seek his support following the endorsement of current Governor Abdullahi Sule, which has reportedly sparked tension. During the visit, Wadada adopted a conciliatory tone, praising Al-Makura's leadership and appealing for unity among the people.

He expressed gratitude for Al-Makura's foundational role in the state's development and emphasized the importance of patience, mentioning it three times. Al-Makura had previously criticized the endorsement process, stating that Sule did not consult him regarding Wadada's nomination, which drew laughter and applause from the audience.

Wadada stressed the need to protect lives in Nasarawa State and highlighted Al-Makura's significant responsibility in the state's creation. He concluded by wishing Al-Makura good health and peace for the state, while also urging him to maintain open communication.
