WAEC Releases 2026 First Series WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced the release of the results for the 2026 first series computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted from January 28 to February 14, 2026. A total of 10,480 candidates, including individuals with special needs, participated in the examination across 166 centers nationwide.

Out of these, 3,429 candidates, which is 32.72%, obtained credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The head of WAEC Nigeria, Amo Dangut, disclosed that 8,418 candidates, or 80.32%, had their results fully processed and released, while 2,062 candidates, representing 19.68%, had their results pending due to errors that are currently being addressed.

Additionally, 75 candidates, or 0.72%, had their results withheld due to allegations of examination malpractice, with ongoing investigations. Candidates are advised to check their results on the WAEC result portal and can request hard copies through the WAEC certification request portal.
