WAEC Denies Claims on 2026 WASSCE Subjects, Emphasizes Fairness

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has refuted reports suggesting specific subjects for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Adeshina, WAEC's acting Head of Public Affairs, clarified that WAEC does not have the authority to design or alter curricula in Nigerian schools.

The council stressed its commitment to fair and professional conduct in implementing government-approved policies to ensure credible assessments. WAEC urged schools, parents, and the general public to disregard misleading information and rely only on official communications regarding examination guidelines.
