Super Falcons to Focus on One Match at a Time in WAFCON

Chiamaka Nnadozie, recognized as one of the best women goalkeepers in the world and a three-time African Woman Goalkeeper of the Year, announced that the Super Falcons will implement a one-match-at-a-time strategy for the upcoming WAFCON 2026 tournament in Morocco. The tournament is scheduled from July 26 to August 16, where Nigeria will compete in Group C against Egypt, Zambia, and Malawi.

Nnadozie emphasized the importance of not underestimating any opponent, stating that African teams have improved significantly and should be taken seriously. The Super Falcons, who are 10-time champions, aim to secure their FIFA World Cup ticket while defending their title.

Nnadozie expressed confidence in the team's ability to focus and perform well throughout the tournament, regardless of the challenges posed by their group opponents.
