Super Falcons Gear Up for WAFCON 2026 in Casablanca

The Super Falcons are ramping up their preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, with head coach Justin Madugu leading training sessions in Casablanca. The Nigeria Football Federation has invited 25 players to the camp, with six players yet to report.

The team is preparing for their opening Group B match against Malawi on July 28. Currently, 15 players are involved in training at the La Noria club camp, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi.

The squad received a boost with the arrival of Halimatu Ayinde and Omewa from BK Hacken, as well as Osinachi Ohal and Chinwendu Ihezuo from Pachuca. Other players already in camp include Toni Payne, Jennifer Echegini, Asisat Oshoala, and Francisca Ordega.

The final squad is expected to include defenders Michel Alozi and midfielders Deborah Abiodun and Gift Mondai, among others, as the nine-time African champions aim to defend their title strongly against Malawi.
