Waltersmith Petroman Expands Refinery Capacity in Nigeria

Waltersmith Petroman, led by Chairman Mr. Abdulrazak Isa, has disclosed that the company has supplied 1.1 billion litres of refined products over the past six years.

During a visit to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) by Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogb, the Executive Secretary of NMDPRA, Mr.

Saidu Moham, and others, it was revealed that the firm is expanding its refining capacity from 5,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 10,000 bpd. The refinery significantly contributes to Nigeria's energy security and economic development, particularly in the South East and South South regions.

Waltersmith plans to commence two further phases of expansion, including the construction of a 30,000 bpd condensate refinery and an industrial park to accommodate gas-based industries. This project aims to deliver 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and is expected to conclude a partnership agreement for the condensate refinery by the fourth quarter of 2026.

The NCDMB has expressed support for Waltersmith's initiatives, emphasizing the importance of local content and job creation.
