Anambra Police Arrest Udochukwu Okafor for Armed Robbery

The Anambra State Police Command arrested 26-year-old Udochukwu Okafor, also known as Small-Moto, during an operation in Ebenebe, Awka North Local Government Area. The arrest occurred on Saturday, following an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu.
Police spokesman SP Tochukwu Ikenga stated that Okafor was on the wanted list for alleged involvement in armed robbery, kidnapping, cult-related activities, and secessionist-related offences. Preliminary interrogation revealed that he allegedly snatched a pump-action firearm from a vigilante operative and possessed a locally made shotgun used in criminal activities.
Okafor reportedly admitted to being a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, a group suspected of cult-related violence in the area. The police are intensifying investigations to recover the firearms mentioned and apprehend other gang members still at large.
Okafor remains in custody as investigations continue, with the command assuring residents of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and security.
