Uzodinma Confirms No Re-zoning in APC Ahead of Convention

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who is also the chairman of the Progress Governors Forum, announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not plan to re-zone political offices ahead of its national convention. This disclosure was made during an address to journalists following a meeting held in Lagos on Sunday.

Uzodinma insisted that the existing zoning arrangement will remain in place and urged party members to stay united and focused as the party prepares for its scheduled ward and local government congresses nationwide. He addressed critics within the APC and emphasized the need for harmony and discipline among members to sustain electoral victories.

Uzodinma also highlighted the importance of accommodating diverse opinions in decision-making processes. Other party leaders, including Sam Mbakwe and Macdonald Eber, commended the governor for fostering unity and encouraged members to remain committed to peaceful congresses, noting that these congresses play a crucial role in strengthening the party's future electoral prospects.
