Kano Governor Denies Blocking Kwankwaso's Entry

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, has publicly dismissed allegations that his government attempted to prevent Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, from entering the state. In a statement made on Thursday, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, a commission member, described the claims made by Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as false and malicious.

Abdullahi emphasized that the state remains peaceful and that citizens have the constitutional right to freedom of movement and association. Governor Yusuf reiterated that his administration is focused on improving the welfare of the people rather than engaging in unnecessary political distractions.

He criticized individuals who spread baseless allegations and called on Galadima to either provide proof to support his claims or withdraw his statements in the interest of peace.
