Kano Govt Refutes Claims Against Kwankwaso's Entry

The Kano State Government issued a statement on Thursday, signed by Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the Commissioner for Internal Affairs, denying allegations that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf wrote to the Federal Government to prevent Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from entering Kano State. The government described the claims made by Alhaji Buba Galadima as false and malicious, aimed at misleading the public and creating political tension in the state.

The statement emphasized that at no time did the Kano State Government write to the Federal Government to restrict Senator Kwankwaso, asserting that he is a Nigerian citizen entitled to enter Kano. The government reiterated its commitment to peace and unity, highlighting the constitutional rights of citizens, including freedom of movement and association.

It criticized individuals who spread baseless allegations instead of engaging in constructive political discourse and called on Galadima to either provide proof for his claims or withdraw his statements in the interest of public peace.
