Public Complaints Commission in Bayelsa State Resolves 3,000 out of 5,000 Complaints in 12 Months

The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Bayelsa State, led by Hon. Iney Ronk Binawari, disclosed receiving 5,000 complaints in a year, with 3,000 resolved.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the PCC aims to address administrative injustices and ensure fair treatment for citizens despite financial and logistical constraints. Established in 1997, the PCC has grown from a single federal office in Lagos in 1975 to offices in 36 states and the FCT.

The commission handles various complaints ranging from wrongful dismissals to land disputes, emphasizing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms like conciliation and mediation to decongest the court system.
