We lost two players – Van Dijk names signing Liverpool should make after Community Shield defeat

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has suggested that the club should sign a new attacker following their Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace. Van Dijk highlighted the loss of two attackers, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, during the summer transfer window, emphasizing the need for a new addition to the squad.

He expressed the importance of strengthening the team and maintaining a balance in the squad. Both Diaz and Nunez left Liverpool, with Diaz joining Bayern Munich and Nunez moving to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool has been linked with a move for striker Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad, who is also reportedly interested in joining the club. However, a deal has not yet been reached between the two parties.

Van Dijk's comments come after Liverpool's disappointing performance in the Community Shield match against Crystal Palace.
