Kaduna Hajj Chairman Addresses Pilgrim Sacrifice Complaints

Malam Salihu, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, responded to widespread complaints from pilgrims regarding the payment for animal sacrifices (hadaya) during the Hajj. He stated that despite payments made, some pilgrims did not see their names on the list for the sacrifice, which is a requirement for fulfilling Hajj obligations.

In a statement issued by Malam Ibraheem Musa, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, it was noted that 928 pilgrims from Kaduna State had paid for the hadaya, amounting to 668,160 Saudi riyals. Salihu mentioned that a few pilgrims lacked evidence of payment, which led to their names not being displayed.

He urged those affected to cross-check their payment receipts. He emphasized that the special Hajj committee would uphold the trust placed in them by the governor and ensure that no pilgrim is shortchanged.
