We Supported Rufai, Chuckwu’s Families, NFF Replies Taribo

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has responded to allegations made by former Super Eagles defender Taribo West regarding the treatment of the families of legends Peter Rufai and Christian Chukwu. West accused the NFF and Lagos State Government of abandoning Rufai's family, stating he would never allow his son to play for the country after witnessing how his former teammate's family was treated.

In response, the NFF stated that they had provided support to both families, including financial assistance for Rufai's burial and Chukwu's funeral rites. The NFF stood in solidarity with the two legends as they were laid to rest, with Executive Committee Members and other officials attending the services to honor their legacies.

The NFF emphasized their continued support for the families in a statement.
