Otti Welcomes Defectors Back to Labour Party at Summit

On Wednesday, during a high-level strategic summit held at the Labour Party's national secretariat in Abuja, Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, addressed party members and defectors, encouraging their return to the Labour Party.

The summit, themed "Reuniting the Labour Party Family to Consolidate Strength and Sustain Political Impact," was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). Otti emphasized that the Labour Party should not only serve as an electoral platform but also focus on people-centered development.

He acknowledged the need for internal harmony and trust to achieve sustained political success, urging stakeholders to strengthen grassroots mobilization and build strategic alliances. Otti called for a commitment to resolving internal misunderstandings through dialogue and emphasized the importance of principles such as equity and social justice.

He expressed hope that the Labour Party would serve as a model for national progress, particularly as the 2027 elections approach.
