Imo Lawmaker Ugochinyere to Dump PDP Amid Leadership Crisis

Imo State lawmaker Ugochinyere, chair of the House Committee on Petroleum Downstream, announced his intention to leave the People's Democratic Party (PDP) due to leadership issues. He blamed the party's past leadership for incompetence and the destruction of the party.

Other members like Matthew Nwoguala and Mathew Chima Amadi are also joining Ugochinyere in defecting. Ugochinyere expressed his readiness to bid farewell to the PDP unless a miraculous change occurs.

This move comes after Ugochinyere was disqualified from the PDP primaries for the 2023 general elections.
