ADC Youth Leaders Support Amaechi for 2027 Presidency

Youth leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across 17 local government areas in Enugu State have publicly endorsed former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi for the 2027 presidential elections. In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by youth leader Festus Ifesinachi Omeh, the group rejected recent claims that ADC members in Enugu supported former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's presidential bid, labeling those claims as misleading and not reflective of the party's mood in the state.

The youth leaders argued that the presidency should remain in the south in 2027 to ensure fairness and equity, opposing any return of power to the north. They expressed full alignment with Amaechi's presidential ambitions and warned against any attempts to manipulate the internal processes of the party ahead of the scheduled primaries on the 25th.

The group called for transparency in the primary process to avoid unnecessary tensions within the party.
