ADC Youth Leaders Back Amaechi, Reject Atiku for 2027

Youth leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across 17 local government areas in Enugu State have declared their support for former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi as the party's candidate for the 2027 presidential election. They vehemently rejected statements made by the Enugu State chairman of the ADC, who claimed that party members supported Atiku Abubakar's presidential ambitions.

Led by Festu Ifesinachi Omeh, the youth leaders asserted that the presidency should remain in the South for equity and justice. They called on the national executive council of the ADC to ensure transparency and fairness within the party, warning against any manipulation or intimidation that could suppress the voices of the people.

The youth leaders firmly stated that they would not support Atiku Abubakar and expressed their commitment to backing Amaechi, whom they believe represents courage and fairness in the pursuit of a balanced national leadership.
