David Mark Urges Integrity Over Wealth at Graduation

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress and former Senate President, delivered a speech to the graduating class of 2026 at Pace Setter College in Abuja. He advised the graduates to prioritize integrity and character over the pursuit of wealth, stating that "wealth acquired without honour is fleeting." Mark congratulated the graduates, parents, and teachers, urging them to uphold moral discipline and character as essential components of education.

He emphasized that true education should mold responsible citizens and ethical leaders. Mark encouraged the graduates to embrace lifelong learning and to hold onto five principles as they enter the world, which includes adapting to advancements in technology and entrepreneurship.

He also highlighted the importance of active citizenship, respect for the rule of law, and the courage to stand for what is right. Mark commended the commitment of Pace Setter College's proprietor, Kenneth Imansuagbon, to quality education and urged the graduates to view their achievements as the beginning of their journey rather than an endpoint.
