Delta Governor Oborevwori Commits to Julius Berger Projects

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori reaffirmed on May 11, 2026, his administration's commitment to awarding construction projects to Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, Nigeria's leading engineering construction firm. During a visit to a Julius Berger project site in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area, he highlighted the administration's resolve to expand employment opportunities for youth and sustain investment in infrastructure.

Oborevwori acknowledged the challenges of unemployment and economic hardship facing families and emphasized the need for deliberate government intervention to improve livelihoods. He commended the workers and contractors handling projects across the state and reiterated the administration's partnership with Julius Berger to execute critical projects aimed at boosting employment and enhancing infrastructure in Warri and Effurun.

The governor also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for implementing reforms to reposition Nigeria's economy and increase revenue for state governments, enabling the execution of key projects. Oborevwori expressed confidence that ongoing infrastructure projects would symbolize progress in Delta State.
