Julius Berger Completes Bodo-Bonny Road Project in River State

Julius Berger Nigeria PLC has successfully completed the Bodo-Bonny road project in River State, measuring 37.9 kilometers. The project, which began on October 20, 2017, faced challenges due to difficult terrain but was completed within the approved budget.

Engr. Tim Nippert, the project manager, confirmed that outstanding work, including tree planting and streetlight foundation installation, will be finalized within two weeks.

The total contract cost was justified at 15 billion Naira per kilometer, translating to 7.4 billion Naira for the entire project. Engr.

David Umahi, the state minister, announced that the road will be opened for partial traffic flow by the end of November 2025, with full completion scheduled for later. Additionally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved phase two of the Bodo-Bonny road project, which aims to further enhance infrastructure in the region, including the installation of solar-powered streetlights and CCTV cameras.
