Wembanyama Shines as Spurs Beat Thunder in Double OT

In a thrilling double-overtime playoff opener, Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to a 122-115 victory against the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Wembanyama delivered a historic performance, scoring 41 points and securing 24 rebounds, making him the youngest player ever to record a 40-point, 20-rebound game in playoff history.

He became only the second player in NBA history to achieve this feat in a playoff game, following Wilt Chamberlain. The game featured a standout performance from Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who contributed 24 points and 12 assists.

Spurs rookie Dylan Harper also had an impressive outing with 24 points and 11 rebounds. The Thunder's Alex Caruso led the bench with 31 points.

This loss marked the Thunder's first playoff defeat, and the series will continue with Game Two on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
