TTP Invests N4 Billion to Clear Gridlocks at Apapa, Tin Can Ports

Truck Transit Park Ltd (TTP) has spent N4 billion to tackle congestion at Apapa and Tin Can ports in Lagos. The investment in the electronic truck call system, ETO, has reduced cargo movement costs by 65% and truck turnaround time by three days.

The system has processed three million truck journeys, addressing challenges like driver violations and cargo theft. TTP awaits regulatory approval for a tamper-proof E-tag system in 2023 to further enhance truck identification and prevent malpractices.
