Sanwo-Olu Outlines Legacy for Successor in Lagos State

In a statement issued by his special adviser on media and public affairs, Gboyega Akosile, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu detailed the legacy his administration will pass on to his successor. He emphasized that the next governor will inherit a structured governance framework rather than fragmented projects.

Sanwo-Olu announced plans to draft a comprehensive legacy transit bill that will institutionalize key policy reforms, ensuring continuity across administrations. He stressed that the governance in Lagos is not person-driven and that the bill will be transmitted to the Lagos State House of Assembly later this year.

The governor also highlighted the importance of preventing policy disruptions during transitions and committed to documenting his administration's achievements in a performance report for public access. He warned against political distractions as his administration approaches its final stretch, noting that legislative support has been crucial for the success of major programs.
