Sanwo-Olu Seeks Legislative Support for Lagos Projects

On Wednesday, October 19, 2023, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged the Lagos State House of Assembly to provide legislative backing for the completion of ongoing projects. Speaking at the Executive Legislative Parley held at Eko Hotel, he highlighted the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative arms to deliver on his administration's agenda.

Sanwo-Olu commended Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and the Assembly members for their productive relationship, which has facilitated critical legislation, including the multimodal transport framework. He outlined priorities for the final phase of his administration, assuring that no ongoing projects would be abandoned.

Sanwo-Olu announced plans to introduce a comprehensive legacy transit bill to institutionalize key policy frameworks for future administrations. Additionally, he plans to convene a citizen assembly to enhance inclusive governance and publish a comprehensive report on the administration's performance for public access.
