WhatsApp Introduces Fourth Pinned Message Feature

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that enables users to pin up to four messages in individual or group chats, an increase from the previous limit of three. This update is currently being tested with select Android beta testers using WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.35.8, available through the Google Play Store.
The additional pinned message slot is expected to be particularly beneficial in active group chats, where important information can easily become lost among numerous messages. Users can pin messages by tapping and holding a message, selecting the pin option, and choosing the duration for which they want it pinned.
The new message will then join the existing pinned messages at the top of the conversation. Group administrators retain control over who can pin messages through existing permissions.
WhatsApp is also testing notifications that alert users when a message is pinned, although muted chats will not generate these notifications.
