Governor Wike Urges Senate to Boost FCT Budget for Lighting Program in Abuja

Governor Wike of Rivers State urged the Senate to increase the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) budget during the official installation of the Integrated Hybrid Solar Lighting in Abuja. He emphasized the need for more funding, requesting ₦5 instead of ₦1 when asked.

The program aims to enhance street lighting in Abuja. Wike thanked the Senate and House of Representatives for their support, highlighting the importance of infrastructure initiatives like the Light Abuja program.

The Minister present acknowledged Senator Ndume and stressed the significance of prioritizing FCT funding to improve the capital's lighting infrastructure.
