Africa Gospel Film Project Trains 60 Filmmakers in Abuja

The Africa Gospel Film Project 2026 successfully trained 60 Christian filmmakers over six days in Abuja, Nigeria, through an intensive filmmaking masterclass. This program, hosted by New Wave Faith Driven Storytelling and facilitated by the High Definition Film Academy, brought together participants from Nigeria and Zambia to equip them with technical expertise and a deeper understanding of storytelling.

The event featured notable industry professionals, including Stephen Kendrick, known for the faith-based films "War Room" and "Courageous," who delivered sessions on aligning creative vision with purpose. Other facilitators included Cameron Arnett, Nick Carei, and Bob Saenz, who conducted various workshops.

The program concluded with a pitch competition where participants presented original film ideas, with awards given across multiple categories. The initiative aims to raise filmmakers committed to spiritual impact and has plans to expand by training 300 filmmakers across Africa over the next three years, producing six global standard faith-based films.
