Odoemena Critiques APC Governors for Turning Against Wike

Elias Odoemena, the Convener of the Igbo Union, criticized All Progressives Congress (APC) governors for their opposition to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Odoemena stated that these governors, led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, once received Wike's support, particularly during the 2023 presidential election, which helped the APC retain power.

In an interview on Arise News, he questioned their current animosity towards Wike, emphasizing that they were once reliant on him for political success. Odoemena remarked on the governors' fear of Wike, attributing it to their poor governance in their respective states.

He asserted that Wike had been a significant ally for them and expressed his support for Wike in this instance, highlighting the inconsistency of the governors' positions.
