APC's Fear of ADC Grows Ahead of 2027 Elections

In an interview on Wednesday, former Kano State Governor Kabiru Gaya discussed the increasing pressure on the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to the growing strength of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the 2027 elections approach. Gaya noted that the APC, which previously focused on weakening the People's Democratic Party (PDP), now recognizes the ADC as a real threat.

He emphasized that the ADC is committed to becoming a successful political force, supported by experienced politicians who understand the political terrain. Gaya raised concerns about the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), urging it to remain neutral and fair in its dealings with political parties to ensure a credible electoral process.

He warned that any perceived partiality could undermine public trust in future elections, highlighting the importance of an independent electoral body for the stability of the country.
