David Mark Criticizes Tinubu Over Opposition Suppression

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed strong criticism towards President Bola Tinubu during a press conference held in Abuja on Thursday. Mark accused Tinubu of attempting to destroy opposition political parties in Nigeria, questioning the president's fear of free and fair elections.

He highlighted that Tinubu, despite leading a government with over 30 governors, seems insecure about the performance of his administration and the strength of the opposition. Mark emphasized the importance of maintaining democracy in Nigeria, warning against a shift towards dictatorship.

He also mentioned that the ADC remains a bastion of democracy in the country. Furthermore, Mark stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should allow the courts to decide on relevant cases, indicating a call for judicial integrity in electoral matters.
