Davido Shares Reluctance for Children in Music Career

Nigerian singer Davido, known for his significant contributions to the music industry, shared his concerns regarding his children pursuing music careers during an episode of The Vibe podcast. He stated that his reluctance stems from the challenges he has personally faced in the industry.

Davido mentioned that his second daughter, Hailey Veronica Adeleke, has shown interest in music and possesses a good singing voice. Despite recognizing her talent and vibrant personality, he expressed skepticism about encouraging her to follow the same path he took.

He articulated, “I don’t want any of my children to pursue music,” reflecting on the difficulties he has encountered. However, he also conveyed that he would not prevent his children from chasing their dreams, stating, “I would never want to block any of my children from chasing their dreams.

And if they are good, why not?” This highlights his desire for his children to choose their own paths while being mindful of the realities of the music industry.
