Davido Shares Concerns About Children Pursuing Music

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, known as Davido, shared his concerns about his children pursuing music careers during an episode of The Vibe podcast. He cited the personal struggles and pressures he has encountered throughout his successful career as reasons for his hesitance.

Davido mentioned that his second daughter, Hailey Veronica Adeleke, has shown an interest in music and has a strong singing voice, describing her as lively and entertaining. Despite recognizing her talent, he expressed skepticism about whether his children could handle the demands of the entertainment industry.

Davido stated, “I don’t want any of my children to pursue music. But I know what I went through.” He hopes his children choose careers outside music but clarified he would not obstruct their ambitions if they genuinely wish to become musicians.

He reflected on his own parents' eventual support for his music career and expressed his intention to allow his children the same freedom to chase their dreams.
