APM Candidate Adeoy Leaves PDP, Focuses on Governance

Adeoy, the governorship candidate for the All Peoples Movement (APM) in Lagos State, explained his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) citing internal party conflicts that hindered his focus on governance. He emphasized the need to address pressing issues facing Lagosians, including power supply, transportation, healthcare, and urban development.

Adeoy criticized the ongoing legal leadership tussle within the PDP, which he believes made it impossible to concentrate on real governance issues. He described the APM as a movement built on principles of integrity and people-centered leadership, contrasting it with the vulnerabilities of the PDP.

Adeoy's campaign will prioritize youth empowerment, job creation, and broader economic inclusion, with a commitment to delivering practical solutions to Lagos State's problems. He also outlined an infrastructure agenda that includes independent power projects, renewable energy expansion, affordable housing schemes, and flood management systems to improve urban resilience.

Adeoy secured the governorship nomination ticket for APM ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
