Bala Mohammed Defects from PDP to APM in Bauchi

On Saturday, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State publicly announced his defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Peoples Movement (APM). He explained that this decision was guided by the need to serve the people effectively and to uphold democratic values.

Mohammed expressed gratitude to the members and leaders of the PDP for their loyalty and support during challenging political times. He emphasized that the recent Supreme Court judgment fundamentally altered the political landscape, leading to uncertainties and a split decision that could nullify previous conventions.

Despite the challenges, he reassured his commitment to unity and stability within the political framework. The chairman of APM, Yusuf Mamman Dantal, welcomed Mohammed, stating that the party's constitution strictly guides its operations and that they are grateful for the governor's decision to join their ranks.
