Kefas Explains APC Move and Advocates for Taraba Unity

Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, articulated his reasons for joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He stated that this move was intended to strengthen Taraba's relationship with the Federal Government and expand development partnerships.

Kefas clarified that his decision was strategic and not a betrayal of his constituents or principles. He emphasized that political parties are merely platforms for public service and reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Taraba.

During a speech marking the 35th anniversary of Taraba State, he advocated for a "United State of Taraba," urging citizens across various divides to unite for the state's development. Kefas highlighted the importance of cooperation with President Bola Tinubu and other stakeholders while defending the interests of Taraba regarding security and resources.

He stressed that no single group could develop Taraba alone, advocating for unity among its diverse communities.
