Ex-City Boy Movement Coordinator Resigns, Supports Tinubu

Ahmed Ajibola, known as General H, resigned from his position as the Oyo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, citing concerns about the group's state structure and leadership. He emphasized that his resignation was based on personal principles and should not be seen as a withdrawal of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ajibola issued a statement on Instagram on Friday, refuting claims that he had been removed from his position and labeled those reports as "false, malicious, and misleading." He clarified that he voluntarily resigned and had previously declined two appointments from the national leadership of the movement on August 1 and August 5, 2026. In his resignation letter, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve but stated that he could no longer continue with the movement due to its current direction.

Ajibola reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Tinubu's administration and his re-election bid in 2027.
