Adebayo emphasized that he distinguishes between spiritual worship and cultural reverence, asserting that God holds a supreme position while earthly figures like parents and traditional rulers deserve respect. He stated that when visiting a Yoruba monarch's palace, where prostration is customary, he does not feel his faith is compromised, as his intention is what matters most.

Adebayo, who hails from Ilorin, a region with a strong Islamic identity, noted that residents typically bow rather than fully prostrate before their Emirs, giving him a unique perspective on navigating different customs.
