Ex-Pastor Olabanjo Felix Converts to Ifa from Christianity

Olabanjo Felix, a former pastor based in Ondo State, publicly renounced Christianity and embraced Isese, an indigenous Yoruba spiritual tradition, citing "deceit in Christianity" as his primary reason. He founded the Image of God Evangelical and Prophetic Ministries in Ibaka, Oka Akoko, and transitioned to becoming an Ifa priest, declaring himself Ifawamiri Aworanolodumare, Babalawo of Ifá, in a viral video.

Felix expressed his disillusionment with Christianity, claiming there are no true pastors in Nigeria except for Pastor Gbile Akanni. His decision followed a two-year soul-searching journey during which he consulted various pastors and explored Islam before ultimately choosing Ifa.

He emphasized that his choice was not sudden, as he had been disturbed by contradictions in the Bible and the actions of some Christian leaders. Felix's announcement aimed to clarify his new identity and prevent others from addressing him as a pastor.
