Mourinho Discusses Controversial Altercation with Carneiro

In a recent Netflix docu-series, Jose Mourinho addressed his infamous altercation with former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro, which occurred during his second tenure at Chelsea in 2015. Mourinho, now the manager of Real Madrid, stated he would not apologize to Carneiro, despite her finding his comments profoundly offensive.

He clarified that he did not intend to be sexist, asserting that heated exchanges are typical in football. The incident took place at the start of the 2015-16 season, following Chelsea's Premier League title win.

During a match against Swansea City, after Eden Hazard fell, Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn entered the pitch to provide treatment. Mourinho became furious, realizing Hazard would need to leave the field, leaving his team with only nine players.

Carneiro alleged that Mourinho discriminated against her based on her gender, referring to her derogatorily. Following the match, Chelsea removed her from first-team duties, and she left the club a month later, receiving a settlement after pursuing a tribunal case for discrimination.
