John Terry Reveals Mourinho's Spying Tactics in 2005

In 2005, John Terry disclosed that Jose Mourinho obtained a video of Bolton Wanderers' training session, where then-manager Sam Allardyce was seen instructing his players on how to manage Chelsea defender William Gallas. Terry recounted that Allardyce directed his squad to target Gallas, stating, “hit Gallas, he’s not good in the air.” Chelsea viewed this footage, which Terry found surprising, questioning how Mourinho acquired it.

Chelsea went on to defeat Bolton 5-1 in the league match, aiding their Premier League title victory. Additionally, Terry expressed feelings of guilt regarding Mourinho's departure from Chelsea in 2007, following a disagreement with club owner Roman Abramovich.

He reflected on his emotional attachment to Mourinho, stating, “I would leave that pitch in a coffin for him,” and expressed disappointment over how their relationship ended. Mourinho returned to Chelsea in 2013 but was dismissed after two and a half seasons.
