Kamo State Explains Absence with Funke Akindele

Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo State, addressed the reasons for his decreased visibility with actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele during an interview with BBC Yoruba on Wednesday. He dismissed rumors of a fallout, explaining that both are currently focused on their respective careers.

Kamo recounted his admiration for Akindele, stating she was a role model before they met, and he first encountered her on the set of "Everybody Loves Jenifa." Their professional relationship led to collaborations on projects such as "Ayetoro" and "Behind the Scene." Kamo insisted that their relationship has only strengthened despite their busy schedules, noting Akindele's commitment to a December project and his own growth in the industry. He urged the public to refrain from spreading false narratives about their relationship, asserting, “There is no fight; don’t let people paint what doesn’t exist.”.
