Nigeria Cannot Become a One-Party State, Says Adebayo

Princ Adewale Adebayo, the former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), declared that Nigeria can never become a one-party state during the SDP-TNN summit held at Sabon Gari Stadium in Kano. He highlighted the country's diversity and the energy of its people, asserting that anyone dreaming of a one-party state should consider leaving Nigeria for a country like Cameroon.

Adebayo emphasized the necessity of multi-party democracy, stating that power should serve the people and urged Nigerians not to waste time or resources. He called on citizens to rise together to fix the country and warned against vote selling.

Sadiq Umar Abubakar Gomb, the SDP chairman, welcomed the TNN initiative, which aims to register independent political party aspirants who face unfair constraints from the electoral leadership. Dr. Modibbo Yakubu Farakwai commended the leadership's selflessness and dedication to the Nigerian project.
