Adebayo Warns Nigeria Drifting Towards One-Man Rule

Prince Adewol Adebayo, a prominent politician and former president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has expressed concerns that Nigeria is drifting towards one-man rule instead of evolving into a one-party state. During a recent visit to Plateau State, he highlighted the humanitarian crisis following the Angua Rukuba attack, which left families displaced and communities devastated.

Adebayo criticized the federal government's handling of insecurity and emphasized the need for direct engagement with affected communities. He confirmed his intention to contest in the 2027 presidential elections, asserting that his recent activities are driven by national concerns rather than political optics.

Adebayo also addressed internal disputes within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and warned that the current political landscape is characterized by a lack of ideological principles among politicians. He urged citizens to remain engaged in democracy and hold leaders accountable, stressing that without credible leadership and structural reforms, insecurity and political challenges will persist.
