Peter Obi's Return to Labour Party Ruled Out by Arabambi

In an interview on Thursday, Arabambi, the factional vice chairman of the Labour Party in the South West, declared that Peter Obi will never be allowed to return to the party. This statement follows a decision made by the party's leadership, which includes consultations among key figures such as Julius Abure and Abia State Governor Alex Otti.

Arabambi emphasized that the Labour Party has already taken a definitive stance against Obi's return, particularly in light of the internal challenges faced during the 2023 elections. He affirmed that Obi's aspirations for a presidential bid are not compatible with the party's current direction, which is focused on supporting President Tinubu's bid for a second term in 2027.

Arabambi urged that any thoughts of Obi returning to the Labour Party should be abandoned, reinforcing the party's commitment to its current leadership and electoral strategy.
