Sam Amadi Advocates for Politicizing Nigeria's Insecurity

Sam Amadi, the former chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has called for the politicization of insecurity in Nigeria. He responded to warnings from government officials against politicizing the nation's security crisis, particularly in light of recent attacks and abductions by terrorists across the country.

Amadi expressed that the current insecurity is a result of political leadership failures, specifically criticizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for its handling of the situation. He referenced the political dynamics of 2014, when insecurity was also a significant issue, and emphasized that the public should not be discouraged from discussing the political aspects of insecurity.

Amadi's comments were made via his Facebook page, where he stated that the ongoing insecurity is a product of political leadership failures and that accountability is necessary for progress.
