Umahi Urges Politicians to Avoid Insecurity Politics

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, spoke on Thursday during the flag-off of the Gomb Biu Super Highway project, emphasizing that insecurity should not be used as a political tool. He stated that President Bola Tinubu is dedicated to defeating insecurity and restoring peace across Nigeria.

Umahi warned that any attempt to politicize insecurity could lead to tragic consequences, asserting that God will resist those who seek power through such means. He highlighted the government's commitment to infrastructure development, specifically mentioning the Gomb Biu Maiduguri dual carriageway project, which is part of a larger initiative to enhance connectivity in the region.

The project, which stretches approximately 700 kilometers, is being executed by a high-tech construction company selected through a competitive procurement process. Umahi expressed confidence that with God's grace, the administration will stabilize the economy and address insecurity effectively.
