Wicknell Chivayo's Brother Pleads for Safety Before Crash

A video recorded on 21 September 2026, nine days before Wicknell Chivayo's death, shows his brother appealing to the pilot of a red-and-white helicopter for his brother's safety during the flight. The footage was filmed at an outdoor gathering, where the atmosphere was celebratory, with many attendees capturing the moment on their phones.

On 30 September 2026, Wicknell Chivayo died in a helicopter crash near Marondera, an incident that also claimed the lives of others. Chivayo was known for his flamboyant lifestyle and significant presence in Zimbabwe.

The stark contrast between the brother's plea for safety and the subsequent tragedy has resonated deeply with viewers. Zimbabwean authorities have urged the public to refrain from drawing conclusions about the crash's cause, as a formal investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
