Wike dismisses Amaechi’s presidential bid as ‘Dead on Arrival’

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has dismissed former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi's presidential bid as "Dead on Arrival." In response to Amaechi's claim of knowing President Bola Tinubu's weakness, Wike stated that Amaechi's presidential aspirations are doomed. During an appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today, Wike suggested that Amaechi knows how to secure a presidential ticket from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), of which he is currently a member.

Despite rumors of Amaechi intending to run for the presidency in 2027, Wike emphasized that Amaechi is aware of his inability to secure the ticket. Wike confidently stated that Amaechi's bid is futile, as he knows the weaknesses of the president and how he was defeated in the 2022 primaries.
